National Sales Manager – Custom Software Development

The Sales Manager is responsible for growing Dorian Solution’s sales in accordance with company objectives, primarily by creating leads, nurturing those leads, and closing the sales using solution selling techniques.  The Sales Manager will forecast and track account/project wins and overall revenue generation throughout the country. The Sales Manager will sell Dorian Solutions’ suite of products, with a focus selling to Chicago-area law firms and businesses.  To be successful, the Sales Manager must display a high level of knowledge and personal interest in understanding clients’ business problems and be able to use technology and process to solve these issues. The Sales Manager must effectively engage in consultative sales, coaching the customers on potential product features and benefits, while drawing on the Dorian Solutions’ technology team and product design resources to support all aspects of successfully implementing custom software projects.  In addition to sales, this is a leadership position with the ability to help expand a growing company.  This position is salary based with the majority of income being made through commission.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenues with client and partner accounts
  • Support and achieve sales objectives
  • Nurture and grow current accounts and partnerships
  • Develop strong account relationships to provide Dorian Solutions with good product positioning, and thorough and honest feedback on products/programs
  • Recruit, motivate, train, and supervise other sales staff as Dorian Solutions grows
  • Maintain satisfactory call frequencies with all customers
  • Coordinate, maintain and update forecasts to insure business plan achievement
  • Compile all necessary reports and provide a monthly activity report to President
  • Provide product management team with updates on market conditions and account status
  • Participate in trade shows and special events
  • Work independently telecommuting or “on the road”

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of solution sales in software development
  • Experience selling to law firms is a plus
  • Knowledge of web development and web technology is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Willing to work independently and do “whatever it takes” to be successful with minimal hand-holding
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong presentation and multi-tasking skills
  • Plan, organize, and travel to trade shows, sales meetings, professional meetings, and other product-related meetings
  • Manage projects from conception to completion: oversee projects by coordinating quotes for current and future projects and follow up with clients on generated quotes
  • Respond to RFP’s and be able to prepare client specifications and quotes
  • Demonstrate service excellence by providing high quality customer service at all times to all customers
  • Spread enthusiasm about our suite of products products and day-to-day tasks
  • Have a tremendous work ethic, strong organization and analytical skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a rapid, changing environment
  • Positive, optimistic mental attitude and demeanor with Twitter Bootstrap
